Improving Soil Health to Achieve Higher Yield

SAWITGRO® is a formulated high-quality organic compost developed from selected palm oil by-products through a controlled composting process. It is designed to improve soil structure, enhance nutrient absorption, and support better growth for oil palm, vegetables, and plants.

SAWITGRO® is supported by published research on palm oil waste–derived compost application in an oil palm plantation setting. In a Year 5 (mature) oil palm block, compost supplementation (120 kg per palm per year) was evaluated using foliar (frond) nutrient analysis.

The study found that palms receiving the compost showed higher increments in key nutrients in the fronds, especially Nitrogen (+13.57%) and Phosphorus (+6.72%), compared with palms without compost supplementation (Nitrogen +3.43%, Phosphorus +2.24%).
